In Progress

Activity Listings & Selection Table

What Is a Listing?

listing is how you turn your activities into action and progress.

It’s your way of saying:

“Here’s something that matters. Who wants to help?”

Whether it’s a bold idea, a burning frustration, a local problem, or a call for support — every listing is a signal to the world. It lets others understand what you care about, and gives them the chance to join forces with you.

There’s no right or wrong — just the listings that match your intention and what you’re ready to act on.

You don’t need to be perfect, polished, or even certain.
You just need to post what’s real in your eyes, as you see it.

Why Listings Matter

  • They’re the starting point for real-world progress
  • They make invisible issues visible
  • They give people a reason to connect and collaborate
  • They kickstart the 7-Step Process that drives outcomes

Every big shift starts small — with a listing.
And the more you post, the more change becomes possible.

How Listings Work on Ideas-Shared

You choose a listing type based on what you’re trying to do:

  • Create Awareness
  • Stop Something Harmful
  • Co-Create Something New

Each listing is visible to the Ideas-Shared community. As people engage, your listing gains momentum — rising up the Top 100, attracting allies, and unlocking the steps needed to reach results.

Think of it like lighting a beacon — then building a team to respond.

Activity Selection

Here’s the 7 Step Process, showing other key to-do’s:

Ideas-Shared 7 Step Process

Everything we strive for on Ideas-Shared boils down to listings that help members:

  • Create Awareness
  • Stop Negative Outcomes
  • Co-Create New Realities

Other benefits — like saving time, money, or unlocking opportunities — naturally follow. But they’re all downstream of action taken in pursuit of those three primary goals.

Choosing The Right ‘Objective-Based’ Activity Listing Type

As you can see in the table below, we have listed the 3 primary objectives, that each of your listings are trying to achieve, it can be any or all of them.

The suggested ‘activity type’ column shows the kind of listings worth posting to realise the objective. You may want to post multiple listings to achieve your ultimate goal. This can be with different stakeholders as needed, and run as connected activities.

Use the table below to choose the right type of listing based on your objective — what you want to achieve — and explore the types and consequences that fit.

These outcomes aren’t guaranteed — but they become more likely when enough people care, commit, and act together. That’s why visibility, collaboration, and follow-through matter.

Once you have decided on the listing type, click on + Add Activity Listing in the menu to draft and post the listing. Then continue with the 7 Step Process.

Note that we all have to be prepared to plan and execute the tasks needed to deliver the intended consequences.

Progress doesn’t require permission — just participation. Every listing you post is a step toward something better. Refine as you go. Just don’t sit still.
