If you want to get the best out of Ideas-Shared, start with understanding why it exists.

This isn’t just another platform. It was built to solve a specific problem – one that affects all of us, and one that can help everyone.

Here’s the story behind it.

Ideas-Shared didn’t start in the form it is in today.

It started with a simple idea.

Through working with Ivar Ingimarsson, the original concept was to build an ideas website. A place where people could share thoughts, perspectives, and possibilities.

A good idea.

But not enough.

Because the world doesn’t suffer from a lack of ideas.

It suffers from a lack of action.

Over time, I became increasingly frustrated by the same pattern showing up everywhere.

In politics.
In the economy.
In communities.
Across the environment.
Even inside organisations.

We see rising costs.
Broken systems.
Ongoing debates that go nowhere.

And globally, the same again.

Too many problems that shouldn’t still exist.
Too many people who care… but can’t move things forward.

After 30 years across the military, public sector, and business, it became clear:

These are not separate problems.

They all point to the same issue.

We are not short of ideas.
We are not short of people.

We are short of coordination.

Millions of people, moving in different directions, cancelling each other out.

So the original idea evolved.

From sharing ideas…
To doing something with them.

That shift became Ideas-Shared.

Not just a place to talk.

A system.

A way for individuals, groups, and organisations to do something simple, but powerful:

The aim is simple.

To help create a more connected world, where people don’t just have a voice, but the ability to act on what matters.

Because when people align, things move.

And when enough people align, things change.

This has taken years to build.
Built independently, without external investment, over seven years.

Now it exists.

What happens next is not down to me.

It depends on whether you, and enough other people, groups, and organisations step forward, connect, and act.

Because together, anything is possible.
