Fuel is expensive.

A large part of the price comes from tax.

Fuel duty in the UK is an excise tax charged on motor fuels (petrol, diesel) and some other heating fuels, currently at a main rate of 52.95 pence per litre. A 5p per litre reduction, introduced in 2022, has been extended until the end of August 2026, after which a 1 ppl increase is planned.

However, many people are feeling the pressure in everyday life, whether commuting, running a business, or simply getting around.

This idea is simple.

Reduce fuel tax so people pay less.

• reduce the tax portion
• people pay less for fuel
